the sage advice of industry veterans...
Is there any good way to say this? “Lifer” sounds like we’ve been in prison. “Veteran” sounds like we’ve been in a war. Fair enough, but any term you want to use, we’ve been working in bars and restaurants all around this fair city for close to 20 years. In fact, there’s a good chance you’ve either worked with us or we’ve served you (or drank in your bar). We know first-hand the rising cost of supplies. We know how much is used and how much is wasted. We know that a lot of juice is served after the expiration date because it’s just easier that way. We know starting your shift by squeezing the bejesus out of citrus is, for an employer, a waste of hourly wage. For the employee? A mind-numbing, soul destroying, handwringing experience (literally). So where are we? Buying juice from a big company (not naming names) is too expensive whereas doing it yourself is a fruitless endeavor. Everyone is left feeling a little sour. That’s where we come in. Don’t let rising costs turn your business into a lemon. Let us help you step into the limelight. Sorry these puns are too easy—low hanging fruit you might say. But really, massapeel is on your side and we’ll treat you fairly. Consider us the salt of the earth.
We sell that too. Salt. Fruit-infused Salt (see our PRODUCTS page)

longer lasting...
Q: Hey Google, how long does lemon juice last?
A: Most lemon juice can last up to 4 days if stored properly in the fridge. It may lose its sour taste even sooner than that. Lime juice goes even quicker: a 24-hour shot-clock that deteriorates rapidly after its peak first 6 hours.
How long does massapeel juice last?
Most of our juices last about three weeks. I say “about” because it can last up to a month even. We cautiously give a 21-day expiry just to be sure. So, if you don’t sell all your juice one week? No problem. Keep it. It’ll still be standing tall when the final bell rings. How? Keep scrolling.

cheaper!
Our prices are listed on the PRODUCTS menu. If you compare those with what you’re paying from other juice companies, you can clearly see for yourself that we’re cheaper. Never mind its longevity. Just cheaper. It’s that simple.
Now, if you have your staff squeezing the juice themselves in-house, you’ll have to do a little math: multiply their hourly wage with the time it takes them to squeeze, let’s say, 2 litres of lime juice. Now add that number to the amount of limes you would have to purchase in order to get 2 litres of lime juice. Now compare that to our prices.

environmentally friendly
Despite appearances, we are not alien wizards sent here to earth for the benefit of all humankind. Just meagre mortals born into sin who have exploited science in an endless pursuit of riches. But we waste nothing in our process and pass the savings onto you. And of course, we must give back to our beloved partner and benefactor, CEO Mother Nature. (see our page on SUSTAINABILITY)

behind the green door...
So how is this all possible, you ask? To achieve a greater yield from our fruit we use natural citric and natural malic acids that work to extract the oils from the peels, mix that with just the right amount of H2O to make juice, and add that to the regular, old-fashioned squeezing of the fruit-flesh (sounded better in my head). The acids act as a natural preservative that allows the combined juice to last well over 5 times longer than other juices. We are not the first humans to make juice from the peel. But we are the first to do it perfectly and commercially on a mass scale. Now you know the story behind our clever name.
a word or two on flavour
Did you know that we humans predominantly taste with our noses and the scent of the peel, not the fruit-flesh (ugh, that word again) is mostly responsible for that aroma? Yes, it comes from the part that other companies literally throw away. What you get with massapeel is a juice that tastes fresher, brighter, and simply better in cocktails.
